Meeting was
split up into two groups:
Group One:
VITA
1. Ben went
over vitas and presented information on composing a Curriculum
Vita (an academic resume).
2. The Career Center can help with more information on creating
a Vita or just talk to one of the psychology club officers for
more help on this topic. We are glad to help you at anytime.
Group Two:
Graduate School Presentations

-Dr.
Harton described different types of programs here at UNI
-Her advice - GRE's have a big impact
-Other things that are important - letters of recommendation
and personal statements as well as students VITA
-Statistics: 90 applicants each year, about 40-45 accepted each
year
-Average undergraduate GPA of applicants accepted 3.3 - 3.4
-GRE scores typical of admitted applicants: 1,100

Psychology Program
-Consult

-The program accepts 10 students every year and has about 35-40
applicants
-The program does not have a minimum GPA requirement however
typical GRE scores of admitted applicants is: 1,000 to 1,100
and the typical GPA is 3.7 - 3.75.
-The initial degree obtained once admitted is EdS (Education
Specialist)
