Goals for 2007-2008 year:
Increase membership for Psychology Club and Psi Chi
Increase funds and activities
Increase awareness
Establish a scholarship

All meetings for the fall semester will be held in Sabin 103 at 5:30 pm
The dates for meetings are as follows: September 10, October 1, November 5, and December 3

Movie nights will be held twice a month. Times and dates will be advertised in several locations.

T-Shirt Announcement
T-shirts from last semester can be purchased for 15$. Please contact any one of the Psychology Club Officers. Their email addresses can be found on the website indicated above.

Book Sale announcement
September 21 10:00-3:00
Need volunteers/ Sign-up sheet
We still need two volunteers for the hour of 12:00 to 1:00
Book donations are welcome, as are money donations
It will be held in front of the Union on Friday September 21, 2007 starting at 10:00am and going through 3:00 pm. Feel free to stop by and chat.

Scholarship
From the book sale proceeds, a scholarship for psi-chi applicants will be established. Each scholarship recipient will receive the funds to cover their admission and membership fees. Number of recipients will depend upon amount received from the book sale and other fundraising activities planned throughout the year.

Graduate School Calendar
Sophomores:
Start building a strong GPA. Enroll into research classes and cultivate professor relationships. This is also a good time to get involved with volunteer activities and work related experiences for your field.
Juniors:
Keep up your GPA. Take advantage of professor's office hours. Get involved in faculty research projects. Begin thinking about what type of continuing educational program you might be interested in. This summer, start gearing up for the GRE by taking a prep course.
For seniors:
September: Meet with current faculty members to discuss your statement and possible programs. Ask for letters of recommendation. Sign up for required standardized tests
October: Take standardized tests. Request application materials from programs in which you are interested.

Social Event
Four-square was canceled due to the weather. Other social events will be announced at a later date.
